Joseph Shams, MD, is a board-certified interventional radiologist and knee pain specialist at American Knee Pain Centers in Harlem, NY. Dr. Shams earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center and completed his residency training in diagnostic radiology at Beth Israel Medical Center. He also completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Shams was featured on the Castle Connolly Top Doctors List for five consecutive years. He also served as Director of Advanced Vascular Care in Manhattan for four years and as Section Chief and Fellowship Director at Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center’s Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
